My first memories of reading comics is an issue of Super Goof with the cover ripped off and a comic where Superman and the TRS-80 kids fought Major Disaster wherein Superman had to take his cape off while flying around. This totally blew my mind as up to that point I was pretty sure capes were *integral* to flight.
Starting in 1989 I got hooked on comics via Iron Man, the Avengers, Superman and the New Warriors and have been a weekly collector ever since. I like to think of that 20-plus years of reading as research for a hoped for future in comic book writing and am working on a couple of projects right now trying to make that happen.

Why Comics:
I have had a long standing connection with comics. In my early days of reading in the Midwest I was surrounded by old Archie digests, and later the venerable works of Neil Gaiman. This passion led me through adolescence and Ito adulthood, where comics became more than just an escape. They became a window into a modern mythology that weaves its way through our culture. And while I continue to explore those aspects in my personal and professional lives, it hasn’t dulled my passion for the wonder and excitement of comics.

Pete is tall. But not too tall. Sorta like the average tall. Which if you think about it, isn’t really what “tall” is all about anyway.
On most days he can be found talking about things he likes to eat, will eat or has eaten.
He’s also a fan of comic books.
Some comics from the past he wishes more people would talk about are Beautiful Stories for Ugly Children, Spider-man 2099, Ralph Snart, and Grendel.
Some current comics he likes talking about are Chew, Sweet Tooth, The Boys, & The Walking Dead
When he was 5 his mom made him a Superman-esque cape that says “Super Peter” on it.
He still wears it sometimes.
He is currently wondering what’s for dinner.

Name: Christopher “Kokoschka” Walker
Height: 2 meters
Weight: 16.5 stones
Age: mind your own damn business, he’s sensitive about that
Growing up in the armpit of the PNW, Chris sought solace at an early age in the escapism that books, television, and movies were more than happy to provide. “Watch us! Read us! Love us!” they said. And Chris did. A lot.
His love for reading and desire to be visually entertained came together when he discovered comics, and that particular love affair continues to grow. Even now, Chris is writing two comic books of his own, and hopes to have a product available for public ridicule sometime before he dies (currently scheduled for 02/26/2015, subject to weather delays)
When he’s not reading comics or working in a bookstore (which is almost never), you’ll find him wherever he happens to be at that moment, although prudence dictates that it’ll probably be at a pub, throwing back Irish beverages and getting his trivia on.
