Hey Speedball, whats your favorite 3rd grader word for ‘lady parts’?

Two comics are coming out today that will be at the top of my reading pile-

1.Stumptown #3 by Greg Rucka & Matthew Southworth.  This is my favorite new comic of the year and come Eisner time next year, it had better be one of the first nominations announced!  We’ve talked a lot about this book including conversations with both creators so all I’m going to say now is just trust me and buy this book!

2.New Warriors Classic TP Vol 2.  I’m going to assume that there is less trust when it comes to thisbook so let me try and sell you.  The New Warriors was probably the BEST team book of the early 90s that channeled the classic run Wolfman/Perez run on New Teen Titans.  Each one of the original team members of NW was considered a bit of a joke when this book started but under Fabian Nicieza’s writing each and every one of them became strong and interesting characters that you genuinely cared about.  Yes even Speedball, especially Speedball.  Its a bit pricey at $30 and I do own the issues but I’m going to bite the bullet and buy it this time because I want to encourage additional volumes.

Sometimes new comic day is the best day of all!
