Wait, what?

Against my better judgment, I picked up a copy of Sentry: Fallen Sun this weekend.  I don’t know why, considering I give a little less than 1/4 of a crap about that guy–but I do like a good funeral issue.

Um, this was not a good funeral issue.  Also?  So, Rogue and Sentry?  What??  Since when?  I mean,  I know I stopped reading Marvel for awhile in the early aughts, but I don’t even remember Rogue and the Sentry in the same BOOK, much less the same bedroom.  And didn’t he have a girlfriend? Did he cheat on her with Rogue?  When?  How long?  Seriously, this was a big enough affair for Rogue to burst into tears and flee the funeral?

Hey, you know what I don’t need?  More Rogue whinging about not being able to touch people and/or getting too emotionally-dependent on the people that she can touch.  Boring!

Also, randomly throwing in a reference to a past sexual encounter with a heroine to make the hero seem cooler?  Weak.

Okay I heard about that and also thought W.T.F.? I didn't even know Rogue was relevant any more. She's a lame one-note character that needs to disappear to wherever her lame one-note boyfriend Gambit went.

Concur. She is on my list of X-Men that need to die once and for all.
